Project Host - a soup kitchen downtown - started in 1981 as an outreach program of the local Episcopal churches. Since then, it has continued to grow to accommodate the community's needs. The current facilities house a 185-seat dining area and a fully equipped commercial kitchen.
Westminster has supported and been involved with Project Host for over ten years.
Every day of the year, from 11am to noon, homemade soup, a sandwich, fruit, and a beverage is offered to those in our community who, for one reason or another, can't quite make it on their own right now. All are welcome to eat and people are simply fed.
