November Nights

What is November Nights?  It is two Sunday nights full of dinner and fun activities for everyone age nursery through adult.  On Sundays, November 5 and 12, a Vespers Service will begin at 5:30 p.m. in the Sanctuary and will be followed by dinner at 5:45 p.m.  Activities for ages K2-5th grade commence at 6:15 p.m. while classes for youth and adults begin at 6:30 p.m.  We are all finished by 7:30 p.m.  A nursery will be available for those who are not yet in K2.

  • Week 2 - Wooden Nativities: Use pre-cut wooden shapes to make easy nativity figures for your home or tree.

Invest In Our Future

Ansel Sanders, Executive Director and CEO of Public Education Partners, and Michael Delaney, Principal of Carolina High School, will share information on a new collaborative program between Westminster and Carolina which is off White Horse Road in West Greenville and has the highest poverty index of any high school in Greenville County and one of the highest in the state.  One hundred percent of the students qualify for free lunch, a common indicator of poverty.  Despite teachers being asked to do more today than ever before, Carolina's graduation rate has gone from 48.8% to 84% in just six years.  Learn how investing in the students will help Carolina recruit and retain a high-quality teacher work force.

Malawi - An Ongoing Mission

Over these two weeks we are going to review WPC's efforts in Malawi with a focus on the exciting changes and progress over the years as well as looking to what the future holds for this mission.  There will be plenty of interaction and stories, humorous and heart wrenching.  Plus, each week we will share tales from Safari with pictures and yarns from our adventures chasing the Big 5!

Movie Night

A Return to Grace: Luther's Life and Legacy.  Martin Luther triggered a seismic upheaval that rocked the Western world with an impact that continues to reverberate in 2017.  This just released movie portrays Luther's quest for faith, truth and grace.  Popcorn will be provided!

Youth Activities

Vespers Service at 5:30 p.m.
Dinner at 5:45 p.m.
Senior Highs (grades 9-12) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.
Middle School Group (grades 6-8) from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Elementary Children

Each week our elementary-aged children can choose one of the following options:

  • A craft-making workshop in the Art Room
  • Gym time and board games

Preschool Activities

Each week our preschoolers (K2 - K5) will have crafts and stories about fall, Thanksgiving, and the Christmas story in Room 206.

Nursery

Childcare will be provided each week for children not yet in K2.
