"It's Elementary!" (Grades 1-3)Tweens (Grades 4-5)These programs, led by volunteers along with Westminster's associate pastors Barbara Stoop and Steve Phillips, meet Wednesday afternoons during the school year. Students arrive right after school and have a little fun time. Snacks are served at 3:00. The program begins at 3:10 and ends at 4:30. Everyone is invited! This year, we will start at the beginning of the Bible and learn the stories of Genesis. After Christmas, we will focus on the Ten Commandments. We will finish the 2011-2012 year by learning how to use our Bibles and building Bible skills. Please enter the church through the double-glass doors in the circular drive area on the Westminster Drive side of the building. Children will be brought out to parents in the carpool line in that circular driveway at 4:30. Children staying for choir will be brought out to parents in the carpool line in the circular driveway at 5:15. Behavior: We ask that parents remind children that they are invited into our church and are expected to behave in our programs. For the younger children, we have a series of "points" they can earn. Points are redeemed at the Prize Closet. Older children use a different system, but we expect them all to follow these simple rules: 1) respect others, 2) listen when teachers speak, 3) keep hands and feet to yourself, 4) always wear your name tag, 5) stay in your area of the building, and 6) treat others as you would have them treat you. We try and deal with any behavior problems but will contact parents if necessary. Donation: There is no charge for our Wednesday after-school programs. Church members support the program with their offerings. Non-church members may make a donation if they would like, but it is not required. Registration: Registration forms may be picked up on the ledge outside the church office.
